No one wants to think about their dog getting lost…but it can happen, even when you’re taking every precaution. If your dog does get out, it’s always important to start the search immediately. Just like with a lost child, when a dog is lost, every minute counts.
There’s a service that puts out the word of your missing dog right away. FindToto.com has been called an Amber Alert. The service places automated calls to your neighbors and most of the calls go out within 15 minutes of when you place the alert. The service uses the address of the place where your dog went missing and works out from there, calling as many as 5,000 local residents depending on the size of the package. Each call provides information on your dog, your contact information, and where to view a photo of your dog.
Packages start at $125 for 500 calls.
