Pet artist Annamarie “Missy” Johnson has launched the “Dogs for the PAWS” Art Awareness Event to spread awareness of animal shelters and rescues nationwide.
The South Carolina-based artist is painting 80 rescue dogs and sharing each dog’s story in the Dogs for the PAWS blog, an event which was launched with the portrait and story of the artist’s own Rottweiler mix Wyatt Earp.
(DogTipper.com’s own Tiki has been featured in the event; be sure to check out her portrait and story!)
Limited to the first 80 dogs, to be considered for the free event dog families should email or mail a couple of good, clear dog photos as well as the dog’s unique story to missyjohnson@me.com. All artwork remains the property of the artist.
