Dog Whisperer's Daddy Immortilized by Artist
Viewers of the National Geographic Channel's "Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan" and readers of Millan's best-selling books are familiar with Daddy, the balanced pit bull who has helped many dogs featured on the show.Daddy, now 16 years old, has been immortalized by artist Daniel Maltzman. Maltzman, whose work is often seen on TV and in films (and in locations that range from Yankee Stadium to Corey Hart's new Vegas nightclub) captured the beauty of the pit bull and presents it to Millan in this week's episode ("Dog Whisperer: Pekaso and Yogi & Smokey," Friday, October 23, 2009 at 9PM ET/PT on National Geographic Channel).
The painting was a touching thank you for Millan's work with Maltzman's two-year-old Pekingese, Pekaso (Picasso), who refused to eat or drink. Pekaso refuses dog food and gets freaked out by the ripples in the water dish; she's even become so dehydrated the artist had to take her to the vet.
