Fetching Answers: Helping Dogs on Slippery Floors
Does your dog have problems with slippery floors? Ken's chow is having problems on his tile floor; he's tried several products...do you have any suggestions for him? I have a small female chow 9 years old that has problem getting up on our tile floors with her arthritis. I have tried Paw Wax but not much improvement. Moisture cream works better than paw wax. Have boot but these have to come off at some time.
I have ordered and will try Surfboard Wax that surfers use to keep from slipping on the board. Apply it just like Paw Wax (very little). It works for humans so I hope it works for may dog. -- Ken

I have the laminate flooring and Pepper hates it. He can't get a good footing. I have put the rubber backed throw rugs in rows like stepping stones. They work quite well. Pepper can go anywhere in the house now. I don't like the look as good as the bare floors, but Pepper lives here also.
Has anyone ever used these stick-on non-slip paw pads from Orvis.com? http://www.orvis.com/store/product.aspx?pf_id=0X6X They have medical grade adhesive and come in different paw sizes. We've never used them but it definitely looks like an interesting product and we'd love to hear if anyone's tried them!
