Every Friday we take a look at four Facebook fan pages of special interest to dog lovers. Today we’ve got four pages not just focused on dogs but dog art! As always, please be sure to let us know your favorites, too, either in our comments section or over on our DogTipper fan page.
Drawing attention to the many dogs in rescues and shelters looking for homes, this fan page features the artwork of Annamarie “Missy” Johnson and her Dogs for the PAWS project painting 80 rescue dogs. Each portrait is accompanied by the dog’s story on the Dogs for the PAWS blog (stories that even include our own Irie and Tiki!)
This group works to bring together the efforts of animal artists and animal rescues. Founded by photographer Lisa Prince Fishler (profiled here on DogTipper recently), this fan page for HeARTsSpeak.org includes some great animal photography and also some inspiring messages left by artists who are working with their local shelter and rescue groups.
Today we have an emphasis on dog art–and these incredibly beautiful collars would definitely have to be considered art as well. This fan page for Paco Collars showcases handmade, custom dog collars (plus custom leashes and custom cat collars). Look for plenty of pet photos on this fan page for this company that was recently the subject of a PeoplePets article!
This Charlotte, North Carolina-based photographer has a great tag line: “Cool Poses for Wet Noses.” We love seeing the work of pet photographers; even if you’re not located in the Charlotte area, have a look at this fan page for inspiration with your own dog photos!
