Today is Be the Change Day, an effort launched at the BlogPaws conference to help raise money for Pets Without Parents. Through tweeting and blogging, the pet community is working to raise money to help the furry friends in need that are in the care of Pets Without Parents.
It’s super-easy to give to the effort: just click on the fundraising widget:
For our part, we’re donating all of today’s DogTipper income from everything–ads and affiliate programs–to this important cause. We can’t say enough about helping the efforts of the people working to care for and find homes for all the homeless pets (and our two rescue dogs and four rescue cats second this opinion!)
And there’s more coming. On Wednesday, head to Twitter for a blogpawty just for this cause! The fun takes place April 21 from 7 p.m. – 1 a.m. EST. You’ll tweet with the hashtag #blogpawty but, if you’re not on Twitter, you can follow along with the fun on Tweetgrid. Throughout the event, prizes are given away and all donations help raise money for Pets Without Parents.
It’s a great cause and, as with all animal fundraising efforts, remember that every donation helps, no matter how small! In these tough economic times, homeless animals are depending on these fundraising drives more than ever!
