Watch for Halo, Purely for Pets, to expand in the near future. The company, which is co-owned by Ellen DeGeneres, will be expanding into dog beds, travel and related accessories, functional and fashionable apparel, collars, leashes, toys, grooming, training and agility items, crates, carriers and containment products, bowls, social expression and pet insurance following a new association with IMG Licensing.
Earlier this year Ellen and Halo worked with the U.S. Postal Service to unveil the 2010 social awareness Adopt a Shelter Pet postage stamps to increase awareness about sheltered pets and encourage pet adoption and promote humane and responsible pet care. In conjunction with the launch of the stamps, Halo pledged to provide 1 million meals to animals in shelters waiting to be adopted.
