We’re so excited to announce that we’re going to be featuring nutrition tips from Tracie Hotchner starting Wednesday!

You’ll recognize Tracie’s name from many places. Mention pet nutrition, and Tracie’s name will come up as one of the top authorities on the topic. She is known as a pet wellness advocate and a professor at the Canine Nutrition University. Tracie has traveled across the country lecturing on pet nutrition, among other subjects. We had the chance to catch up with Tracie at BlogPaws West in Denver so we can report back firsthand that she’s not just a storehouse of knowledge but also a delightful person and animal lover!

db72Tracie’s the author of two bestselling books that are must-haves for the pet lover’s library: The Dog Bible: Everything Your Dog Wants You to Know and The Cat Bible: Everything Your Cat Expects You to Know.

Tracie Hotchner’s DOG TALK® (and Kitties, Too!) is a continuation of her Award-winning show (she won the prestigious Gracie® – the radio equivalent of an Oscar – in 2009 as “Outstanding Host of an Entertainment/Information show”) on NPR station WLIU in Southampton, New York.

She also has another weekly live radio program dealing with dog and cat issues, which she also produces and hosts. CAT CHAT® is on Wednesday nights on the Martha Stewart channel of SiriusXM satellite radio. In addition, she has just completed a 13-part series for NPR called AUTHORS ON ANIMALS.

In her several free hours a week (!), Tracie enjoys living in Bennington, Vermont with her husband and their three dogs – two adopted Weimaraners and a Collie mix – and a pair of retired breeding mini-donkeys, mother and daughter, Mona and Lisa.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the first of Tracie’s weekly canine nutrition tips here on DogTipper.com!
