This week’s Facebook Friday includes three pages from BlogPaws speakers and a fourth for a hotel that’s doing a great fundraiser for AdoptAPet.com! Paris attended a great photography seminar at BlogPaws West by Jessica Bush, the photographer behind the lens of DOGingham. This Birmingham-based photographer (with her dog–and our model–Judy) includes info on local dog lovers’ events in this fan page as well as links to great pet stories around the web and on her own blog, DOGingham.com.
We learned about Found Animals during BlogPaws West at an excellent seminar on social media and animal rescue. This Los Angeles-based nonprofit promotes adoption (along with spay neuter, microchip & other programs to reduce shelter euthanasia rates). Follow along for news of their LA area events as well as links to articles on topics of interest to the pet community.
We just learned about this fan page this week due to a great fundraiser they’re doing for AdoptAPet; for every new Facebook fan, they’re donating $1 to AdoptAPet (up to $20,000!) Follow along for news from this brand of boutique hotels–36 in all–and all the locations in the Americas are pet-friendly!
During BlogPaws West, I finally got to meet Tracie Hotchner–although we’ve “known” her through her excellent dog and cat books (The Dog Bible, The Cat Bible) and pet radio shows for a long time. Tracie (along with Penny Sansevieri) conducted a great session on book publishing in today’s world. Watch Tracie’s Facebook page for links to articles from her blog on all aspects of life with dogs and cats.
