We missed last Friday because we were headed to Dallas for the Texas Pet Expo but now we’re back with four more Facebook fan pages of special interest to pet lovers. As always, be sure to leave us a note on our Facebook wall with any dog- and cat-related favorites you’d like to see featured here!
This fan page showcases dorkies (dachshund-Yorkie mix) but it’s a page for all dog lovers. The fan page accompanies the Kirby the Dorkie blog; on the fan page, keep up with cuter than cute Kirby and also look for links to dog book reviews, videos of interest to dog lovers, and more.
This fan page is for Love-A-Bull.org, a 501(c)(3) organization working to educate and promote responsible ownership of pit bulls. Last Sunday we had the chance to attend the annual Love-A-Bull Pit Bull Awareness Day in Austin, Texas. It was a great event with a pit bull parade downtown, special appearances by Shorty Rossi of Animal Planet’s “Pit Boss” and Rescue Ink of National Geographic Channel’s “Rescue Ink Unleashed”, and a festival as well!
Founded by three very well-known names in the pet fundraising world–YourDailyCute.com, NipandBones.com and @frugaldougal (the famous “pawpawty” dog!), this fan page (and its accompanying site) is a must-visit for pet lovers. Now in its second year, this virtual toy and and fund drive works to help shelter pets have a happy holiday! You’ll find announcements of fun Twitter parties on the fan page and updates on the drive as the holidays approach.
We love eco-friendly dog products so we were happy to learn about this fan page for The Green Hound online store which specializes in…you guessed it!…green products for pets! This new fan page includes links to dog videos, news on eco-friendly products, and more.
