Congratulations to The Spayed Club, a Pennsylvania non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing low cost spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs in the Greater Philadelphia area. This non-profit received the most reader votes in the fourth quarter of 2010 to win the donations generated from sales of Barkonomics: Tips for Frugal Fidos. They receive 20 percent of the book’s proceeds! We are sending them a donation today via PayPal.
To nominate a non-profit to receive the donation for the first quarter of 2011, please visit the Barkonomics page and nominate your favorite animal welfare non-profit. We will take nominations for the month of January then in February and March readers will vote!
Congratulations again to The Spayed Club for their win and for their work providing low-cost spay and neuter operations to help reduce unwanted litters and, by doing so, reduce euthanasia rates.
