He touched the hearts of TV viewers as Timmy in the family-friendly series Lassie, and today– a half century after sharing the small screen with the lovable Rough-Coated Collie, actor/animal advocate Jon Provost touches the lives of dogs in need by spreading the word about the wonders of a human/pet connection at fundraisers which benefit Fidos and felines.

On February 4, 2011, the pop culture icon (who today is on the board of Canine Companions for Independence) will be the special guest at the fourth annual Puppy Love Dinner, which benefits the Robeson County Humane Society, a no-kill non-profit which rescues and finds forever families for dogs and cats, educates local communities about responsible pet parenting, and offers the New Leash on Life program.

When: February 4, 2011 from 7 – 9 pm

Where: The Robeson County Agricultural Center at 455 Caton Road, O.P. Owens Agricultural Center in Lumberton, North Carolina
