From a field of 5,000 entries, only five finalists remain in the Crash the Super Bowl contest, which features DoritosĀ® commercials created by amateur ad persons in an attempt to tickle funny bones during football’s finest hour.
When football fans huddle around their televisions on February 6, 2011, three of the five ads will air, and one Spot is is keeping her paws crossed that her commercial debut will land one of the coveted spots in the lineup.
Lapping up the limelight in the ad is Oko Nono, a 5 1/2 -yr-old tail wagger who tackled the trauma of a coyote attack one year ago to become a new internet sensation thanks to the commercial competition.
Dog devotees can vote by computer, phone or Xbox Live for Pug Attack through January 31, 2011. The winning ads are awarded $400,000 for third place, $600,000 for second place and $1 million for the top spot. According to the Camarillo Acorn, actress Julieanne Young– who stars in the 30-second ad– plans to split a 5 percent donation of her share of any potential prize money between Best Friends Animal Society and Ventura County Animal Shelter.
Need further incentive to vote? Every day, two pairs of tickets to the Super Bowl will be given away!
