Puppy Bowl VII Airs Feb. 6

No matter which team you cheer on during the Super Bowl, football-loving fans of Fidos will root for all the raucous Rovers who run out on to the pint-sized playing field when Animal Planet airs Puppy Bowl VII.

Representing a range of animal rescue sites, 20 adorable adoptable athletes (all doggie draft picks chosen with the help of Petfinder.com)  will try to tackle the title of MVP (Most Valuable Puppy) during the telecast as they charge, score touchdowns and lap up the limelight thanks to the water bowl cam. Dog devotees are thrown another bone this year with the addition of the Puppy Cam, which will let people who are passionate about pets see the action from a pup’s point of view.

Feline fun is at the forefront during the Bissell® Kitty Half-Time Show, which will include a kickoff “purr”formance from John Fulton, the host of Animal Planet’s upcoming series Must Love Cats.

From the hamster-controlled Icebreakers® blimp to the chicken cheerleaders, tune in to all the tiny tail-wagging excitement on February 6, 2011 at 3 pm E/P!
