For its eighth season, Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan is moving from the national Geographic Channel to Nat Geo WILD. Ten new episodes will begin production immediately; these are set to air in early 2012.
The archives of the 141 episodes of Dog Whisperer that have already been completed will start to move to Nat Geo WILD in April. The series will air throughout the month of April on weekdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT. (Episodes will also continue airing on the National Geographic Channel through the third quarter of 2011.)
Cesar Millan also serves as an executive producer for the new episodes.The show will continue to document Millan’s rehabilitation of problem dogs, and will also include a special episode with dogs that have phobias and obsessions, a Valentine’s Day special with home wrecker dogs and a variety of other new twists to the series format.
“National Geographic has been my home for the past seven years, and I am thrilled to grow the series as we move to a new network, Nat Geo WILD,” said Cesar Millan. “My dream has always been to educate by rehabilitating not just dogs, but their owners, to achieve a balanced a natural relationship between humans and their pets. This show is the foundation of that dream.”
