The news and photos coming out of Japan defy description. Along with the horrors faced by residents of the region, the animals of Japan are also suffering. As citizens of the world help the people of Japan through charitable efforts, work is also underway to help the animals of this region.
BlogPaws’ Be the Change for Pets movement has launched Paws for Japan, a virtual fundraiser set for March 17, 2011. On this day, bloggers everywhere can post and use their favorite social media from Twitter to Facebook to aid the work of WorldVets.org, a super group that is already working to help the animals of Japan.
How You Can Help
Chipin
There’s a chipin for making donations directly to WorldVets.org. You can grab the code for this widget to put it on your blog.
Blog & Share on Social Media
On March 17, bloggers everywhere will be posting about this event so be sure to join in! Pawcurious and the Be the Change for Pets group will have a linky so posts can link up. If you don’t have a blog, you can help by sharing on social media!
We’ll be blogging about this effort on Thursday and thinking of more ways we can spread the word about this effort!
