Wynonna Judd Spokesperson for NSALA’s Tour For Life

Like the title of The Judds’ classic hit, Wynonna Judd is asking people who are passionate about pets to “Give A Little Love” to a shelter dog or cat as North Shore Animal League America, in partnership with PURINA ONE®, prepares to launch the 2011 Tour For Life®.

Taking on a role occupied last year by singer/actress Mya, the five-time Grammy Award winner–and proud parent to a coterie of canine companions– states: “My pets have always been a very important part of my life. They are loyal, non-judgmental and offer unconditional love. Being the spokesperson for Tour For Life gives me an opportunity to encourage other Americans to share the same happiness.” She adds, “When considering a new family member, please stop by a local shelter and rescue a homeless pet, they will be eternally grateful to you for saving their life.”

Now in its 11th year, North Shore Animal League America’s two Tour For Life mobile adoption units will visit more than 100 shelters and rescue organizations in 19 states to find forever families for Fidos and felines.

Scheduled to start March 19, 2011, Tour For Life–founded by the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization– is the world’s largest mobile pet adoption event.
