Cinderella Gets Primped for the 14th Annual ASPCA Bergh Ball at the Ricardo Rojas Salon NYC

You know how we love rescue stories with a happy ending so we had to bring you the story of Cinderella, a four-year-old ASPCA rescue dog. This pooch received the royal treatment at the Ricardo Rojas Salon NYC in preparation for the 14th Annual ASPCA Bergh Ball on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Plaza Hotel.

Groomer/Stylist Allison Graf worked her magic on Cinderella this morning in a styling session at New York City’s  Ricardo Rojas Salon. Cinderella was from a Tennessee hoarder home that was busted, and a portion of these doggies were brought to the ASPCA shelter in New York City. Cinderella’s previous life was no fairy tale; she was pregnant, nearly hairless, underweight, and had heartworms when rescued.

Today Cinderella is living the good life in a penthouse apartment overlooking Central Park, and goes to the park every day. But her story doesn’t end there.

One day her adopters were at a dog run and saw Cinderella playing with another dog. They were absolutely inseparable.  Cinderella’s owner and the other dog’s owner began calling their dogs to come to them, and the owners recognized both of the dogs’ names because they had seen them both when they’d visited the ASPCA to adopt.

They realized that the dogs were playing because they *knew* each other from their original home in Tennessee…Cinderella had found her prince, Mufasa! Now the dogs’ adopters arrange regular play dates for them in the park. Fate brought these two animals back together!
