Isaac Mizrahi Emcees ASPCA Bergh Ball

Wearing his heart on his sleeve, designer Isaac Mizrahi proved that compassion is always in fashion as he emceed the 14th annual ASPCA Bergh Ball on April 14, 2011.

A proud pet parent to a Golden Retriever/Border Collie named Harry and a Beagle mix dubbed Dean, the king of catwalk couture’s devotion to dogs has been an inspiration in both his Fall 2011 collection (which prominently featured poodles) and his philanthropic work. A long-time supporter of America’s first humane organization, the star of Bravo’s The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection tweeted to fans that the “Fairy Tails”-themed black tie affair would be a “Great night for all new yorkers 2 legged + 4 legged.”

Each year New York notables put on the dog for an evening of fundraising fun which features dinner, dancing and an auction. In 2010, the elegant event raised over $1 million for the paws cause.
