Here’s some good news: P&G Pet Care and its employees are working to help the people and pets of Japan with donations. P&G Pet Care has activated the Friends for Life Fund, and will match all donations received through April 30, 2011 (or up to $50,000) towards pet aid relief.
The Friends for Life Fund, established through the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, is designed to give pet lovers everywhere the opportunity to donate towards the pet aid relief efforts in Japan. One hundred percent of the donations will benefit the non-profit animal welfare organizations that have been affected by this natural disaster in Japan. A P&G Advisory Committee will be working with the Japan Pet Food Association to determine where to distribute the funds.
Also, as a company, P&G has committed up to $1.2 million in support for Japan tsunami and earthquake relief which includes monetary and product donation.
