The Meet & Greet Party!

We’re both shy people. (Hey, we are writers, after all! Choosing a career that involves hours and hours alone was no coincidence.) We always have a tough time going up and introducing ourselves at social functions.

So we decided to throw a virtual party to welcome our new site, CatTipper! Starting Friday, April 29, we’ll be hosting the “Meet and Greet Party” to welcome our newest site to the web world, and we’re asking for your help!

Any time between now and Friday, write up a short post introducing yourself and your blog! (We’ve gone ahead and written up our CatTipper introductory post so you can get some ideas.) Tell us a little about yourself and your blog (like you would at a party, right? But no tricky balancing of plates and glasses!)

And, let’s trade virtual business cards, too! Include a list of your links in the post–your RSS feed, your email newsletter, your Facebook fan page, your Twitter account, your YouTube channel, you name it!–so we can all follow and be followed!

On Friday, we’ll post a special linky where you can link up so we can all hop around, party style, and say hi!

Prizes!

And, like the really good parties, we’ve even got a prize package! Every entry in the linky will be eligible for our prize package, to be awarded to one entry selected by Random.org.

PRIZE PACKAGE One winner will receive:

  • a one-month, site-wide 125×125 pixel ad on DogTipper (4,000 pages), directly linked to your blog, product, or social media URL
  • a feature article about your blog or product in DogTipper.com
  • a package of 10 tweets from our @DogTipper Twitter account promoting your blog or product
  • a package of three Facebook announcements on our DogTipper fan page and three on our our CatTipper fan page promoting your blog or product
  • a one-month, site-wide 125×125 pixel ad on our Lovetripper.com travel site (10,000 pages), directly linked to your blog, product, or social media URL. (This is a travel site, not a pet site, but the demographic is very similar to that of DogTipper.com.)

Eligibility

Any pet-related blog or social media account is qualified to join in the “Meet and Greet Party” and win the prize package. This includes family and frugal blogs that include pets. The only exception to this are sites that sell pets via the internet; they are not eligible to win. You do not need a blog to enter; you can choose to link up to your social media page.

How to Join the Party!

  1. To join the “Meet and Greet Party,” just grab the Meet and Greet Party badge in the right sidebar and post it.
  2. Write a post about you and your blog then, on April 29, be sure to come back here and grab the Linky code to add to your post. Publish your post.
  3. Starting April 29, add the URL of your party post to the linky then you’ll be entered for our prize package! Add each of your social media URLs to the linky so you’ll have multiple entries!

Then the fun will start on April 29 when you can start party hopping and make new friends!

We’ll announce the winner of the prize package on Saturday, May 7. Good luck and happy partying!

A virtual party? This is cool! People need not get drunk, throw glasses and plates and get wild to be able to be in a party. There are those people I know who cant stand the noise and the wildness of a party’s atmosphere. They are basically shy and not much of a talker in social gatherings. They would prefer stalking Facebook profiles all day. This virtual party would open the interactive side of my friends and meet new friends from around the globe!

I’m VERY late to the party — how did I miss this? Ah, well. I’ve got so much going on today that I can’t get a blog post up about the meet -n- greet, but I will definitely be following the new site!

    Congrats!
