Memorial Day is a time for the nation to show appreciation to the troops, and for country crooner Lucas Hoge a show of support includes a salute to America’s four-legged defenders.
The Animal Planet personality, who put orphan pups on a path to a new life in the documentary series Last Chance Highway, put a song in the hearts of soldiers not only with his music during his late May visit to the Middle East as part of the Wrangler National Patriot Tour, but also by shining a spotlight on the work of K-9 units.
Lucas Hoge offers a look at the diligence of military working dogs, and even tackles the role of a test attack victim, in the following clip:
