A hard to place pet has found a permanent place in the heart and home of a Hollywood notable with a nurturing nature. Following the passing of her mother’s dog Sheena, Denise Richards confided to FOX411 that she looked for a dog who would have difficulty getting adopted.  The actress’s search led her to welcome into her family an adorable adoptable from Best Friends Animal Society– a blind dog named Preston.

Although Preston is now the star’s Spot, countless canines have been put on the path toward forever homes thanks to Denise Richards (who is seen in the photo to the right with two of her fur babies at a photo shoot for Modern Dog magazine). The animal-loving luminary has been a long-time supporter of the sanctuary and often volunteers for Best Friends Animal Society’s Pup My Ride program, a shuttle service which takes small dogs from Los Angeles kill shelters to safety at foster homes or shelters.

As for Preston, he will now live a life of luxury with a multitude of playmates, including Coco, a dog adopted by Denise Richards after her appearance on The View‘s 3rd annual Mutt Show.
