JetBlue Pledges to The Millan Foundation for Tweets

JetBlue has just launched a new photo contest to award a two-night getaway to Los Angeles and, at the same time, donate to help homeless dogs.

JetBlue has pledged to donated $2 (up to $10,000) to The Millan Foundation for every pet photo uploaded to Twitter through May 18, 2011 using the hashtag #JetPaws. The Millan Foundation, founded in 2007 by Cesar Millan, works to rescue, rehabilite, and re-home abused and abandoned dogs.

“Traveling with your dog can be a wonderful bonding experience, which is why I always try to take Junior with me wherever I go,” said Cesar Millan, founder of The Millan Foundation and star of Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan. “At The Millan Foundation one of our goals is to create lifelong healthy relationships between dogs and people, whether at home or away. We are grateful that JetBlue Airways will help us to continue in that mission, contributing to the creation of education, rescue and rehabilitation programs through this generous donation.”

JetBlue Getaways will award one winner a two-night, three day vacation package to the pet-friendly Hotel Palomar Los Angeles – Westwood. The winning Twitter photo will be selected by vote of the airline’s 13,000 crew members, based on originality and creativity.
