She’s been at the forefront of animal welfare issues for years, and now animal-loving A-lister Betty White graces the front cover of FIDO Friendly’s latest issue. The magazine’s 50th edition is a golden opportunity for the pooch-themed publication to not only show appreciation for the perennial Golden Girl but also to their readers.

To celebrate the dog travel and lifestyle magazine’s milestone, FIDO Friendly is launching the first in a series of giveaways which feature adoptable rescue dogs as models for the prize merchandise.

Within the pages of FIDO Friendly is the giveaway’s inaugural photo shoot, which took place at the historic Hotel Phillips in Kansas City, Missouri, features a photogenic Fido dubbed Dahlia. A Pit Bull/American Staffordshire Terrier currently residing at The Animal Rescue Alliance (T.A.R.A.), a non-profit which helps homeless pets in the greater Kansas City area, Dahlia struck a pose in front of a plethora of prizes for pooches, and helped to showcase the swank interior of the hotel, which is giving away a two-night stay as part of the prize package.
