Former Dancing with the Stars finalist Chelsea Kane had canines dancing on cloud nine as she poured the first bowl of Pedigree’s new dry dog food at Beverly Hills rescue organization The Amanda Foundation on June 1, 2011. The event kicked off Pedigree’s month-long “Every Dog Deserves” campaign, which will provide shelters across the country with much-needed nutritious food, and in the process offer sustenance for the souls of animal lovers everywhere.

“I’m so thrilled to be working with PEDIGREE,” says Kane. “As a lifelong dog lover, I’m committed to doing everything I can to provide my dog everything she deserves. Being able to represent a program that shares my enthusiasm and strives to make a difference in the lives of dogs that need it most is so humbling.”

The Amanda Foundation received the first 10,000 lbs of the more than 100,000 lbs of Pedigree dry dog food which will be distributed to shelters across the country throughout the month of June.
People who are passionate about pets can help Pedigree help shelter dogs by logging onto Pedigree’s Facebook page or tweeting with the hashtag #everydogdeserves to tell Pedigree why they think “Every Dog Deserves” the very best. For each Like, comment, @reply, re-tweet, photo upload, etc. directed at Pedigree, they’ll donate one pound of food (up to 100,000 pounds total) to help shelter dogs!
