Kellie Pickler Rescues Pit Bull

Independence Day weekend meant freedom from a life of hardship for one lucky Pit Bull, thanks to canine-loving country music star Kellie Pickler.
On July 3rd the “Best Days of Your Life” singer Tweeted: “A pit bull (at vet) w/broken pelvis & venomous snake bite will be a part of our family if he makes it through the night. Poor lil guy. 
”
The following day the former American Idol contestant confided to fans: “*Update* Pit bull is Okay. On the way to pick him up now PRAYING he gets along w/our other dogs or we’ll have to find him another home.”
The rescue Rover– named Chunk by the country crooner– will have a forever home with a famous Mom if he becomes pals with the other members of Pickler’s pack– dogs Pixie, Maddie, Moomoo and Tucker, cat Pickles and a python dubbed Boots.
