Pedigree Donation Winner Named
July 1, 2011 by Paris Permenter and John Bigley

In early June 2011, Pedigree launched the “Every Dog Deserves” campaign to donate 100,000 pounds of food to homeless dogs. At the same time, they asked for our help in getting out the word about their efforts and offered a $1,000 donation to a US-based 501(c)(3) shelter or rescue. With so many worthy shelters and rescues across the country, we knew we couldn’t decide which lucky organization would receive this donation and so we asked your help.
And help you did. You provided us with your nominations for worthy shelters and rescues then, when the voting period began, you voted and helped spread the word of this giveaway across the Internet.
With a total of 1,641,193 votes cast through June, the giveaway was the largest DogTipper has ever run. And today we announce the winner of Pedigree’s $1,000 donation:
Canine Lifeline, Garfield Heights, Ohio!
Here’s a look at the final vote tally for the top vote recipients:

We want to thank everyone who voted and give special thanks to Pedigree for this incredible opportunity to help dogs!
