As the founder of celebrity gossip site and syndicated entertainment show TMZ Harvey Levin may make tongues wag over the latest Tinseltown tittle tattle, but the digger of star scoop made tails wag when he teamed up with music legend Paul Anka for a rendition of “My Way” which benefits two animal rescues.
The proud Poppa of a canine companion named Layla, in the spring of 2011 Levin shared a studio with the musical master who penned the pop standard, with Anka producing the gossip guru’s recording of his classic hit.
Sold on iTunes for $1.29, sales have not been brisk since the single’s release, but Paul Anka confided in late June to a TMZ reporter that the song is “bringing a lot of happiness.” Proceeds from Harvey Levin’s “My Way” have been split evenly between Pet Orphans of Southern California and Ace of Hearts Foundation.
