Purina Incredible Dog Challenge Airs

If you’re like us and looking for some cool indoor fun in these dog days of summer, this week’s TV schedule brings four nights of canine excitement. Monday through Thursday watch for the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge 2010 Finals and 2011 regional competitions on Versus.

The Purina Incredible Dog Challenge is a little like canine Olympics…watch for dog diving, freestyle flying disc, head-to-head 30-weave pole races (like the one that included Major, a five-year-old Parson Russell Terrier, above), Jack Russell hurdle racing and agility competitions. During the San Diego regional, one dog set a new world record for dog diving with a dive of 31 feet, 5 inches!

Versus will also be highlighting The National Dog Show, Presented by Purina. This Thanksgiving Day tradition features  over 3,000 dogs.
