Over 175 P&G Pet Care employees are scheduled to work on a shelter makeover at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton on September 22, 2011. The fourth annual Paws for a Cause Shelter Makeover by P&G Pet Care will transform the Humane Society of Greater Dayton facility with painting, landscaping, adding agility equipment for the Community Dog Park, adding climbing areas and perches for cats and even adding cabinets for “pocket pets.”

Also, Procter & Gamble (P&G) Pet Care, the maker of Iams, Eukanuba and Natura Pet Food products, has agreed to help the Humane Society by matching donations for the makeover, dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000.

“We are usually focused on using the resources at our disposal to help the animals directly. This makeover will give us the opportunity to   enhance the appearance of our shelter. By making the adoption experience more enjoyable and inviting for our community, we can help more animals find loving homes” says Brian Weltge, executive director of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
