Sons of Anarchy Star Kristen Renton at Strut Your Mutt Event

The characters on her hit FX series may rule the road on motorcycles, but Sons of Anarchy star Kristen Renton is revved up about pounding the pavement on two feet for a paws cause.

The proud pet parent of a Boxer/Bull Mastiff named Roxy, the actress extends her devotion to dogs by providing rescue transport service and fostering Fidos in need of extra TLC due to medical issues as a volunteer with Boxer Rescue L.A., a non-profit which has been saving the breed since 1977.

Walking on behalf of Boxer Rescue L.A., Kristen Renton is scheduled to step out on the street in sneakers for a one-mile walk on September 24, 2011 at Best Friends Animal Society’s Strut Your Mutt event in Los Angeles.  The actress has already accumulated $700 in donations for her participation in the L.A. leg of the first Strut Across America.

After the Spot-themed stroll, dog devotees can enjoy a day filled with Rover-related festivities, including doggie yoga classes, complimentary doggie grooming as well as human hair cuts for the sake of homeless pets (with a suggested $15 donation benefiting Best Friends), free dog treats at the Canine Cafe, photos with the Fidos from Disney’s Spooky Buddies and much more.
