National Canine Cancer Foundation Sponsors National Dog Wash

Whether in people or in dogs, cancer is a dirty word. During November 2011, Canine Cancer Awareness Month, dog lovers can do their part to help scrub out canine cancer by taking part in the 2011 National Dog Wash, sponsored by the National Canine Cancer Foundation (NCCF). This unique, virtual event will raise money for canine cancer research and participants can receive cool canine products and prizes.
To participate, here’s what you do. Beginning November 1, 2011, log on to www.NationalDogWash.com and join NCFF and project partners Petco, Modern Dog magazine, Halo-Purely For Pets, Best Bully Sticks, FreeKibble.com and others by making a $10 contribution.
The first 5,000 participants will receive official National Dog Wash packets containing:
- Pink Paw window decal from NCCF
- $5 off coupon from Petco Grooming on a Spa Works full service groom or bath
- pet shampoo from John Paul Pet Products
- can of Halo Spot’s Stew
- Two 6-inch bully sticks from Best Bully Sticks
- complimentary issue of Modern Dog magazine
- FreeKibble.com will donate one meal to shelter dogs for each contribution.
If your pooch craves attention, take a photo or video of him getting a bath with the products or being groomed at Petco and upload the photo or video to the Dog Wash Gallery on www.NationalDogWash.com. Uploads will vie each week for the most “Paws Up” votes and those receiving the most votes will be eligible to win prizes.
The National Canine Cancer Foundation is a nationwide, contribution funded, 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to eliminating Cancer as a major health issue in dogs by funding grants directly to Cancer researchers who are working to save lives, find cures, better treatments and accurate, cost effective diagnostic methods in dealing with canine Cancer.
