News that iconic images that will strike a chord with music lovers are being used to help New York City animals in need is music to the ears of dog devotees.

A series of 10 note cards and envelopes specially curated from The Morrison Hotel Gallery’s famed rock photographers is now available for $20 per box (plus a $5 flat shipping fee) through the gallery’s web site, with 100% of all sales directly benefiting Rational Animal, a non-profit which uses media and special events to increase public awareness about NYC’s at-risk animals.

The set of blank note cards feature an array of animal-friendly A-listers including The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Billie Holliday, John Lennon, Nelly, Robert Plant, Patti Smith, Neil Young and the following two famous friends of Fidos:

Snapped in support of David Bowie’s groundbreaking Diamond Dogs album, Terry O’Neill produced a photographic gem in 1974 which will now help to make “Changes” in the lives of animals in need through its inclusion in the note card collection.

While nine of the note card mini-prints feature famous music makers, the tenth image will no doubt make animal lovers feel like singing. Famed photographer turned his lens on Brigitte Bardot, who has transformed from a cinema glamourpuss into one of the top dogs of animal activism. Snapped on the set of the 1970 French film Les Novices, O’Neill once confided to The Daily Mail that “As if on cue, the dog jumped on to the bed and stuck his tongue out. Brigitte woke with a start and began to laugh– but not before I’d taken my shot.”
