Holly Marie Combs Shines Spotlight on Homeless Pit Bull

Actress Holly Marie Combs, who currently stars in the ABC Family series Pretty Little Liars, has helped to spread the truth about the lovable nature of Pit Bulls.

A pal to all with paws with a coterie of canine and cat companions, the actress– who used her star wattage this past October Green Gala benefit benefit to shine a spotlight on the new Town Lake Animal Center (which opens November 12, 2011)–once again helped animals in Austin, Texas at Love-A-Bull’s annual Pit Bull Awareness Day, which took place on November 6th.

While at an Austin news station to promote the event– which included a Texas-Sized Pittie Pride parade of Pits and their pet parents and an all Fido-friendly festival which featured adorable adoptable Pit Bulls, a canine costume contest, dog-related Q&As and more– the former Charmed star and Meghan Turner from the Austin non-profit Love-A-Bull brought Olive, a three-or four-year-old Pit Bull, to the studio in the hope of finding the orphaned Fido a forever home.
