Entertainment news hound Phoebe Rose had a song in her heart when she strolled through the entrance of the Anaheim Convention Center, where she had the chance to mingle with some of the music industry’s top movers and shakers at The NAMM Show. After the rockin’ Rover checked out the latest musical products on display and enjoyed some tail-wagging tunes Phoebe Rose– who relays the latest high profile happenings on her website A Traveling Pug (with a little help from her Mom, Sheila Appleby Williams)– filed the following report:
The four day annual music industry extravaganza- The NAMM SHOW at the Anaheim Convention Center this weekend featured 90,000 Registered Attendees, 1,400 exhibiting Companies and 800,000 square feet of state of the art instruments, cutting edge equipment and demos and seminars led by music pros.
Overwhelming for one small pug? Not if the pug in question is Phoebe Rose, Rover Reporter and large and lovely canine gal on the go.
Here are some of the highlights from Saturday:
The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus parked in front of the Anaheim Convention Center-founded in 1998, provides free hands-on programs to students from middle school through college with song writing
workshops, video projects and recording sessions.

Rapping reality star Lisa D’Amato, the winner of America’s Next Top Model All Stars, took time to pose and gave us this quote “I’m bringin’ doggies back and all those other kitties don’t know how to act.”
Beyonce’s band member, bassist Lauren, gets ready to perform.
Local band Valentine Failure took a moment to strike a pose:

Band from TV-members include: Bob Guiney (The Bachelor and the Bachelorette), Adrian Pasdar ( Heroes), tuning up for their performance. The band donates all proceeds to charities (raising at least $100,000 per performance).
A nice weekend project-build your own customized guitar:
Attendee Katherine Lewis demonstrates her new flute (High Spirits Flutes)
Ukulele’s are back! Popular among all music genres-Kalaukulele has an amazing array of instruments including these entry level Makala ukes.
Gator guitar cases drew a crowd with live “baby” gators from the Foreverwild Exotic animal Rescue Sanctuary.
Part of the excitement of NAMM is being at the right place at the right time-Stevie Wonder stopped by the Seydel USA booth for a harmonica jam session.
