Showbiz Spots have seldom stood in the spotlight, but as the old saying goes “every dog has his day,” and for Tinseltown tail-waggers that day will be February 13, 2012 at Dog News Daily‘s first annual Golden Collar Awards.

The nominees for canines’ answer to the Academy Awards were announced on January 18, 2012 at The Egyptian Theater in Hollywood by two stars of the Golden Globes-winning flick The Artist, Penelope Ann Miller and Uggie, who heard his name called out twice in the Best Dog in a Theatrical Film category.
