Helping Baltimore Mayor’s Anti-Animal Abuse Advisory Commission achieve their ultimate goal of a creating a better tomorrow for our four-legged friends, soccer star Mike Lookingland has become the latest animal-loving athlete to step off the field and stand in front of photographer Leo Howard Lubow’s camera to show support for the “Show Your Soft Side” campaign.

The defender for the Baltimore Blast, Lookingland– along with his canine companion, Ralphy– defends the rights of dogs and cats in an image that will appear on billboards and flyers throughout Baltimore to convince impressionable teens that a compassionate heart is the true measure of a man.

Through his participation Lookingland has joined a team of sports stars who are sympathetic to the paws cause, including Jarret Johnson of the Baltimore Ravens, Adam Jones of the Baltimore Orioles, football great Qadry Ismail, MMA fighter John Rallo and Dizzy Grant of the Harlem Globetrotters.
