Thermometers may drop as winter’s chill grips the nation, but the spirits of dog devotees have been raised by a heart-warming PSA by a Kansas City Chiefs defensive end who has taken a defensive stance on behalf of dogs who live outdoors.

Sharing the spotlight with his canine companion Bugsy, Glenn Dorsey endorses PETA’s newest campaign, which reminds pet parents to bring their barking buddies indoors when the temperature takes a tumble.

Animal lovers can also help to give shelter to Spots who won’t be welcomed inside a home this winter by becoming an “Angels for Animals” sponsor. Donations help PETA’S efforts to construct sturdy doghouses for canines left out in the cold.
