Stars To Honor Small Rescue Centers at Awards Show

Celebrities may be accustomed to the adoration of fans, but on March 9, 2012 British A-listers will be the admirers as they help to shine a spotlight on the work of small, independent rescue center in the UK and overseas at the third annual Burgess Wetnose Animal Rescue Awards.

Made possible by Gavin and Andrea Gamby-Boulger, the founders of Wetnose Animal Aid, the Burgess Pet Care-sponsored high profile presentation– which will be hosted for the third year by Wendy Turner-Webster –will celebrate the winners in the following categories:

Best Dog Rescue Center

Best Cat Rescue Centre

Best Fibrevore Rescue Centre (rabbit/guinea/chinchilla)

Best Breed Specific Rescue Centre – Greyhound

Best Donkey/Horse Rescue Centre

Best Wildlife Rescue Centre

Best Rescue Story

Best Welfare Achievement

Best Welfare Success

Best Conservation

Best Rescue Story

The Lester Middlhurst Award

The Hero Award

While the names of the stars who will rally in honor of rescue organizations at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in Knightsbridge, London have yet to be released, fans can relive last year’s emotion-filled event in the following clip, which includes appearances by Doc Martin star Martin Clunes, Queen guitarist Brian May and media personality Anthea Turner:
