Surf Dog Ricochet on Oprah Winfrey Network Show

Ricochet the SURFice dog may be accustomed to riding ocean waves, but on January 24, 2012 the golden retriever with a heart of gold will hit the airwaves as the Oprah Winfrey Network premieres the new series Beyond Belief.

Hosted by New York Times best-selling author/veteran Wes Moore, the series– which shines a spotlight on stories that inspire– will feature a segment on the Rover who has raised spirits and funds for human and paws causes since 2009 with her ability to hang twenty.

Tune in to the OWN network at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m.CT, then go to the fundraising Fido’s Facebook page to congratulate Ricochet on her TV appearance as well as her new video (see below), and wish the kind-hearted canine– who was born on January 25, 2008– a happy birthday!

    What a great video and story.  I had a dog, Roscoe, who I had all kinds of plans for.  We were going to play flyball, and do agility, and learn obedience.  But Roscoe lived for only one thing — he wanted to play ball, fetch, all the time.  He would play for hours if anyone would play with him, and he became one of the greatest athletes I’ve ever seen.  Because he knew what he wanted and I let him follow it.  Great job to Richochet and her people.
