American Idol’s James Durbin Helps Pet-A-Palooza

Singer James Durbin may have landed in four place during the 10th season of American Idol, but the rocking reality TV personality will hold the number one spot in the hearts of dog devotees when he belts out songs for the sake of Animal Based Charities at the second annual Pet-A-Palooza in Clearwater, Florida.

March 11, 2012 will be a day filled with toe-tapping tunes and tail-wagging fun as friends of Fidos and felines enjoy the singer’s set and check out an array of animal-themed activities:

• A demonstration by skilled Spots Twig the skateboarding/skimboarding Sheltie and pup-in-training, Chili.
• Find out which Fidos will win first place in the costume contest and pet/pet parent Look-A-Like contest.
• Photogenic Fidos can pose for a portrait at a doggie photo booth.
• Pups can play in the doggie cool down and splash zones.
• Want to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Visit the Animal Based Charities Adopt-A-Thon Alley to see all the adorable adoptables.
• Kids can play in the Bounce Zone and take home a balloon animal.
• Dozens of vendor booths will be brimming with pet-related products.

For A Paws Cause

A portion of the proceeds from Pet-A-Palooza will benefit Animal Based Charities, Inc., which supports animal rescue groups through fundraising efforts, media awareness and adoption event exposure.

Admission: Tickets are now on sale for $5 each. Children 12 and under will be admitted free.
