Celebrities to Take Part in New Yorkie Runway Benefit

Philanthropic fans of Fidos and fashion will soon flock to The New Yorker Hotel to clap for the couture-clad canines and their high profile human partners who will command the catwalk at New Yorkie Runway, a stylish soiree for a paws cause.

The New Yorkie line of doggie duds has just unleashed a list of some of the luminaries who are scheduled to strut with Spots for the sake of Angel on a Leash, a non-profit which creates therapy dog programs for hospitals and institutions:

• Alyssa Campanella, the reigning Miss USA, will win hearts as she rules the catwalk with a canine.
• Pageant princess Eden Wood has strolled across stages hundreds of times, but the chance to walk the runway with a well-dressed tail-wagging chum will no doubt be a crowning moment for the glitz girl who won TV viewers’ attention on the TLC hit Toddlers & Tiaras.
• Only time will tell when Most Eligible Dallas star Matt Nordgren will find his soul mate, but the Bravo TV personality is sure to fall in puppy love with all of the fashion forward Fidos who are taking part in the benefit.
• Schmitty the Weather Dog and Meteorologist Ron Trotta (the official weather team for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show) predict that the event will be positively ‘paw’some.
• The pups and people who will promenade on stage will be introduced by the evening’s emcee David Frei, the voice of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.)
• Oscar winner Celeste Holm, the event’s honorary chairwoman, will preside over the proceedings with her rescue dog, Barker.

Along with the fashion show, which takes place on February 10, 2012 at 7 p.m. , dog devotees will clink glasses at a red carpet cocktail party prior to the event.
