Daisy Fuentes Shines Spotlight on Homeless Dogs

Former model turned mogul Daisy Fuentes, who recently launched the expansion of her eyewear collection, helped Best Friends Animal Society’s vision of finding forever homes for adorable adoptables by appearing on Access Hollywood‘s monthly pet adoption segment with two tiny tail-wagging chums.

A proud pet parent to a Wheaten Terrier named Rita and an English Bulldog dubbed Alfie, the one-time MTV VJ quickly bonded with Estrella (a 2-year-old terrier mix) and Skylar (a one-eyed, 4-year-old poodle mix)– two lap dogs who lapped up the limelight during their visit to the set of the entertainment news show.

Access Hollywood recently celebrated one year of finding loving families for orphan Fidos and felines, with 27 companion animals adopted thanks to the program’s partnership with Best Friends Animal Society and the many animal-loving luminaries who have used their star wattage to shine a spotlight on the option of adoption, including Rose McGowan, Kevin McKidd from the ABC series Grey’s Anatomy and Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who recently welcomed Peanut into her heart and home after showing the orphan Chihuahua (then known as Ebony) on a segment of the show.

If you are interested in adopting Estrella or Skylar (who are currently living at the Los Angeles branch of Best Friends Animal Society), email bestfriendsla@bestfriends.org.
