Darling Companion’s L.A. Premiere Helps Homeless Dogs

Hoping to land starring roles in the lives of pet parents, adorable adoptables from a Beverly Hills-based rescue lapped up the limelight on the red carpet at the L.A. premiere of Darling Companion, the new canine-themed comedy from Academy Award-nominated director Lawrence Kasdan.

A movie with a moving message about the bonds we form with our barking buddies, Darling Companion’s cast includes Collie mix Kasey, a former shelter dog turned celebrity who shares the big screen with Hollywood heavyweights the likes of Kevin KlineĀ and Diane Keaton.

Always keen to help a paws cause, Keaton was happy to use her star wattage to shine a spotlight on several of The Amanda Foundation’s homeless Spots, including charming Chihuahuas Chica and Herbie, who posed like pros for the photographers.

Currently in limited release, Darling Companion opens nationwide in May.
