Doggie Boogie Movie Premiere Helps Rescue Dogs

Fans of films and Fidos will be dancing for joy as they enjoy the world premier of the feel-good, family-friendly flick Doggie Boogie and watch adorable adoptables waltz away to their forever homes.

During the Sonoma International Film Festival movie buffs and their barking buddies are invited to ‘Get Your Grr On’ at two screenings of the G-rated silver screen presentation at The Vintage House (264 First Street in East Sonoma). Attendees at the showings can meet a new four-pawed pal from Herd It Through the Grapevine, a rescue in Santa Rosa, California which rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes abandoned, abused and neglected herding dogs.

A Spot-centric story about following your dreams, Doggie Boogie stars Jesse Draper from the Nickelodeon series The Naked Brothers Band; Bettina Devin from the movie version of the Broadway hit Rent; musician/animal advocate Jane Wiedlin from The Go-Gos, and Pijo, the bubbly Bichon fur baby of the film’s writer/director/producer, Romanus Wolters.

When:  April 12, 2012 at 6 p.m. and April 15, 2012 at 9:30 a.m.

Where:  The Vintage House at 264 First Street in East Sonoma, California
