A stand up guy in more ways than one, comedian turned commander of canine comportment Justin Silver will come to the rescue of families who are flummoxed by the behavior of their barking buddies in Dogs in the City, a new series on CBS that will make fans of reality shows and Spots ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ in front of their TV sets this summer.
A Rover-related resume which includes volunteer work at animal shelters; proprietor of the pet care company The Language of Dogs; founder of Funny for Fido (a jest fest benefiting homeless animals in The Big Apple) and proud pet parent to two Pit Bulls, experience has made the humorist fluent in the native tongue of our tail-wagging friends. In the premiere episode Silver uses his Spot-centric skill to diffuse such diverse doggie dilemmas as the weighty issue of a pooch who has packed on the pounds; the less than model behavior of a model agency owner’s canine companion, and the strained relationship between a skateboarding Bulldog named Beefy and his new human Mom.
Dogs in the City premieres May 30th at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
