A platinum-selling songbird with a heart of gold when it comes to caring for canine and cat companions, country music star/Muttnation Foundation founder Miranda Lambert will soon take the stage in support of shelter pets.
The singer who took the single “The House that Built Me” to the top of the county charts will help to build a better tomorrow for dogs and cats through Cause for the Paws– her annual concert benefit– which raises funds for spay/neuter initiatives, the training of shelter pets for therapy dog positions, the rehabilitation of sick or feral animals and the ongoing need to find orphan Fidos and felines forever homes.
Once a volunteer at the Humane Society of East Texas– which became a no-kill sanctuary in 2010– Lambert will touch the lives of orphan Fidos and felines across the country through proceeds from the fifth annual Cause for the Paws concert, which will be held at a larger venue than in previous years due to the singer’s ever-rising star status. “We’re trying to spread the love this year and go nationwide, helping more shelters and reaching out,” the singer stated to The Tennessean. “I just want to grow as big as we can.”
On June 22nd fans will flock to Ford Park in Beaumont, Texas to cheer for the Grammy-winnng artist and special guests Wade Bowen and the Josh Abbott Band.
Tickets start at $28 and can be purchased at the Ford Park Box Office and online at Ticketmaster.com.
