North Shore Animal League America’s 2012 Tour for Life ended on April 26th, and stars were among the supporters who celebrated the success of a cross-country quest that helped more than 1,500 orphaned pets get adopted.

Tanya Marchiol, who has advised home owners on HGTV’s Bang For Your Buck, attended the finale at WE tv headquarters in New York City to raise awareness of the record number of Fidos and felines who found their forever homes thanks to the efforts of the dedicated animal lovers who drove three mobile adoption units to 33 cities in 16 states over a two-month period.

The real estate guru will once again team up with North Shore Animal League America on May 5th and 6th to shine a spotlight on the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization’s 36-hour Pet Adoptathon weekend event.

Jaime Cepero, who stars as personal assistant Ellis Boyd on the hit NBC series Smash, was also on hand to assist the promotion of the paws cause.  The actor recently met a few of North Shore Animal League America’s resident canines when he attended the New York red carpet premiere of the new Diane Keaton/Kevin Kline comedy Darling Companion, which included a mobile adoption event.
