Joss Stone Shines Spotlight on Homeless Dogs

Grammy Award winner Joss Stone, who has just released her latest album Soul Sessions Vol 2, is devoted heart and soul to helping all creatures great and small. Whether its showing solidarity on a global scale with Cruelty Free International’s appeal to end all cosmetics testing on animals, or finding a home for a companion animal she has fostered, dog devotees always have a reason for singing the songbird’s praises.

A proud pet parent to four dogs and three cats, Stone had no trouble quickly bonding with barking buddies Simba and Sonic, two 7-year-old German Shepherd mixes from Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles who are the latest Spots to earn a spot on Access Hollywood Live‘s successful monthly pet adoption segment. Since the entertainment news program began shining a spotlight on adorable adoptables 14 months ago, every dog or cat who has appeared with such animal-loving luminaries as Samantha Harris and Daisy Fuentes has found a forever family, with the exception of Jackson Shade, a two-year-old German Shepherd mix who was seen on the series in May 2012 alongside former Blossom star Joey Lawrence.
